😬 How did an Amazon Guru waste someone's $35K on whitening teeth strips?

A woman recently reached out to me on social media, frantic because she’d lost $35,000 and was being pressured to invest even more.

Here’s the scoop: she entrusted her funds to a couple from Miami who promised to help launch her Amazon business. They’d manage everything from product sourcing and supplier payments to creating listings and operating the business. They even assured her she’d net at least $5,000 a month in profits.

Sounds like the ultimate "easy button" everyone's searching for, right? 🆘 She thought so too and handed over her cash.

The product they chose for her? Whitening teeth strips. I couldn’t believe it. In 2024, they’re pitching whitening strips as the next big thing?

After sinking a fortune into PPC, they dropped a bombshell: the product needed to be relaunched or replaced.

But here’s the kicker: there was no effort in product validation or differentiation. These guys just cooked up a new brand name and ordered units at $1.3 each.

And the worst part? She’s actually considering giving them another shot. 🫣

This just goes to show how folks get swept up in the allure of a quick fix without understanding the full process.

🛒 Will Amazon let others steal your buyers?

Did you see my TikTok where I showed how while shopping on Amazon, the moment you click on a listing, Amazon prompts you to check out other sellers' listings? 🛒

At this crucial moment, your product has ONLY one shot to stand out. This can only happen if you've created exactly what your buyer is searching for, and crafted a main image that captures their attention in those critical 2 seconds. Even if they glance at other products, your aim is to make them want to come back and buy FROM you. 🎯

No amount of reviews will tip the scales now. What you need is to create a painkiller—a product that meets the needs so well, buyers can’t resist. Avoid developing products in niches where the market is already content with the existing offers. 🚫

What first comes to mind? Supplements? Skincare? Maybe some of you will think about protein, baby food, or something similar?

But would you ever think about...

I just discovered it. I never knew this product existed. Took me 5 minutes.

And I don’t mind sharing this idea with you.

Because if you have guts, at least a little bit of knowledge and commitment, you can find a way to launch it without paying us to find a product for you.

And you know what's the most interesting part? There aren't many competitors.

One couple was just creative and brave enough to find the idea and make it work!

You can do it too. Make your $50K/month with pretty much no competition!

💸 Is there a chance to compete with a $4 product?

I discovered this product while validating for one of our clients.

$5 😳? Amazon fees are almost the same. Clearly, they are not making any profit; they are playing the “pay to play” game.

Why? How can you rank for all possible and impossible keywords? How can you get as many reviews as humanly possible? To make as many sales as possible at a price people would be foolish to refuse.

And this seller is taking this approach. Look at the screenshot, they have a variation at a higher price to improve conversion of a cheaper product + to be able to sell at a higher price in a future.

They are selling over 300 units a day! In the worst-case scenario, they will be getting 5% reviews, which will be organic. If they are using great marketing, they'll get more, capture emails, and upsell these clients!

And they are aware that not everyone is ready for this type of investment, but the moment they reach a certain number of reviews, they can be fully confident in making a profit at the price they want.

There are plenty of strategies you can pursue by gaining an insane amount of reviews and ranking. This one was one of them.

Answer to Trivia:

A day on Venus is longer than a year on Venus? Venus rotates on its axis very slowly; it takes about 243 Earth days to complete one rotation. However, it only takes about 225 Earth days for Venus to complete one orbit around the Sun. This means a day on Venus (from one sunrise to the next) is actually longer than the time it takes for Venus to orbit the Sun!
